On the 29th of September, 2023, Uganda’s Nakawa Division in Kampala District came alive with vibrant celebrations in honor of International Youth Day. The event, hosted at the Nakawa Community Hall, brought together over 300 enthusiastic participants from all 23 parishes in Nakawa Division, uniting under the theme: “Accelerating Recovery from COVID-19 and Full Implementation of the 2030 Agenda: The Role of Youth in Nakawa Division.”

The theme resonated deeply, highlighting the dual imperatives of recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic and advancing towards the ambitious goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It underscored the critical role that young people in Nakawa Division must play in building a resilient, sustainable future.
